For each river and year, up to 15 fish are randomly selected as candidates, with a target of up to 10 imaged fish per age class. The remaining candidates are kept as backups in case some scales are unsuitable for imaging.
Required = all fish selected for that river, year, and age class, up to a maximum of 10. Where fewer than 10 fish were selected, imaging all of them reaches 100%.
Imaged = selected fish that have a scale image on file
Excess = imaged fish beyond the maximum of 10. These are not needed to reach 100% coverage but provide additional data.
Institution = who took the images: NINA (the project source spreadsheet) or RB (our collaborator, whose imaging is still in progress). All counts a river and year once toward the target (at most 10 fish per age class), however many of the two institutions contributed images there; the NINA and RB views show each institution's images on their own.
Data are refreshed daily from the project source spreadsheet. The weekly timeline above tracks new images going forward from when this tracking began — the source data has no record of when past images were added, so earlier history can't be reconstructed.
